The House of Piero della Francesca in Sansepolcro is the splendid 15th-century residence where the famous Renaissance master was born, lived, and worked for many years.

It is a true masterpiece of architecture: the palace, characterized by an elegant stone façade with large arched windows, reflects the canons and taste of the Tuscan Renaissance, and it is believed that Piero himself helped design or modify the interior spaces according to his rigorous geometric vision.

Despite his constant travels to paint at Italy’s most important courts (such as Urbino, Rimini, and Ferrara), Piero always returned here. It was in these rooms that he conceived his revolutionary treatises on mathematics and perspective, and it was here that he passed away on October 12, 1492.

Currently, the building serves as the headquarters of the Piero della Francesca Foundation. While it does not house any original paintings by the artist, it is home to an important scientific research center featuring multimedia exhibits, digital reproductions, and rooms dedicated to understanding his perspective technique.

The house is located just a few steps from the Civic Museum of Sansepolcro, where his greatest masterpieces are housed, including the extraordinary *Resurrection*. The two sites complement each other perfectly for a complete experience, and admission is often combined with that of the museum.
