Polenta Festival | Monterchi’s tastiest festival
From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September – Piazzale di San Rocco
The 52nd Polenta Festival returns to Monterchi, taking place every year on the penultimate weekend of September to bid farewell to summer and welcome the new autumn season.
Organised by the Pro Loco of Monterchi, the festival takes place both on the outskirts of the village, at Piazzale di San Rocco, and right in the heart of the historic centre.
The star dish is, of course, polenta, served in various styles and with different toppings; all accompanied by sausages, fegatelli and tasty fried porcini mushrooms.
