Ponte alla Piera: The Annual Walk Through Nature, History, and Fellowship Is Scheduled for Sunday

 
A day dedicated to exploring the local area, historical heritage, and fellowship in one of the most picturesque parts of the entire region. On Sunday, June 7, the annual Ponte alla Piera Walk will take place, an event organized by the Circolo Antico Ponte that offers a route of particular natural and historical interest.
 
The meeting is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. at the Circolo di Ponte alla Piera, from where participants will travel by their own means to the Fonte del Baregno, the starting point of the hike. The walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. along a route that will pass through areas of great scenic and environmental value, such as the Casetta del Vaccaio, the Prati della Regina, and the Sasso della Regina, before returning to the Fonte del Baregno.
 
The event also offers an important opportunity to explore the history of the region. The hike will, in fact, follow the route of the historic Karin Line, the site of events linked to World War II. Members of the Karin Museum will be present for the occasion, accompanying participants with stories and accounts of the events that took place in these areas.
 
At the end of the hike, there will be a social gathering featuring brustichino and grilled sausages for all participants.
