The Altotiberino Choir Association announces the 13th edition of Pieve Classica, under the leadership of President Caterina Seri and Vice-President Luca Gradi, who jointly serve as artistic directors, with the patronage of the Municipality of Pieve Santo Stefano
 
Over the course of thirteen editions, Pieve Classica has forged a distinctive identity: not merely a showcase, but the result of patient research and the cultivation of relationships with artists. The festival curates coherent programmes, featuring voices that know how to make the theatre feel like an intimate space, works that blend tradition and experimentation, and artists willing to take the time to engage, share their stories and collaborate with the local community.
 
The first confirmed dates for a season running from 23 January to 7 May 2027 (11 evenings) include the opening night on 23 January featuring Raphael Gualazzi, followed by pianist Maurizio Mastrini on 29 January, singer-songwriter Bungaro on 12 February and US soul-jazz singer Joy Garrison on 19 March. 
 
Pieve Classica 27 will have a preview on 18 December 2026 with Gaetano Donizetti’s opera *Il marito disperato*, performed by students from the Morlacchi Conservatoire in Perugia under the guidance of teacher Maria Grazia Pittavini. This date makes up for an evening from the 2026 season that was postponed due to circumstances beyond our control.
 
The 2027 Season is dedicated to Faust Cardinali, an Italian-French artist who has returned to the Valtiberina after decades in Paris and who recently opened L’Archivio di Faust in Piazza del Comune in Pieve Santo Stefano. His works will feature on the posters for all the events in the programme.
