Landscapes of Stories | Free theatre workshop open to all
Monday 26, Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, at 6.30 pm – Campaccio venue
How do we construct a story through the body, movement, sound and the space we inhabit? This exploration has given rise to ‘Landscapes of Stories’, the free theatre workshop offered by Laboratori Permanenti to its students and to anyone interested in experimenting with new forms of expression
Laboratori Permanenti’s educational and training programme for the new academic year has begun, with theatre courses for professionals and beginners in Sansepolcro, under the artistic and educational direction of Caterina Casini
The School’s programme forms part of a broader vision of education, participation and cultural welfare, in which teaching activities interact with artistic production and Laboratori Permanenti’s other projects
The courses offer continuous training, supporting students throughout the year through ongoing work with tutors, enriched by masterclasses and in-depth workshops led by other artists and professionals
It is within these programmes that ‘Paesaggi di storie’ (Landscapes of Stories) takes place, produced by the Compagnia Diesis Teatrango of Bucine and directed by Piero Cherici, as part of the project ‘Il Rovescio dello Sguardo: Pratiche di Impollinazione Culturale’ (The Reverse Gaze: Practices of Cultural Pollination), promoted by the Region of Tuscany (Regional Council Decision No. 53 of 29 January 2024)
LANDSCAPES OF STORIES is a multidisciplinary workshop that brings together theatre, sound, movement, physical action and visual art, focusing on the relationship between people and the space they inhabit
A space for connection and exploration of creative acts and expressive possibilities, in which participants construct dramaturgies, narratives and stories that open up to various ways of being ‘on stage’
What the workshop focuses on:
- Landscapes of the body and space
- Theatrical games, psychophysical warm-ups, exploration of space and gesture as a form of storytelling
- Shared landscapes, composition of short scenes, writing exercises, soundscapes, and visual creations to be shared with the group as a record of the work
The workshop is led, using inclusive and accessible methodologies, by Piero Cherici of the Compagnia Diesis Teatrango, an expert trainer in theatre pedagogy, art therapy and community dramaturgy
