Wolves, monsters and witchcraft | Amidst untamed nature, ancestral fears and ancient magic at the Germagnano Farm
Saturday 31 October, from 5.00 pm – Germagnano Farm
Werewolves, lycanthropes and ferocious beasts: where do all these monstrous creatures come from?
Often, the most terrifying creatures of our imagination arise from the observation of real animals, transformed over the centuries into the protagonists of myths, legends and terrifying tales. And of all of them, few have fuelled our fears as much as the wolf!
- We begin with Tommaso D’Errico, author of "I’m Not Afraid of the Wolf", for a journey through science, folklore and the collective imagination. Discovering the real wolf – the one that lives in our woods – which is very different from the monster of fairy tales
- Next, everyone into the barn! Following last year’s wonderful evening, ROMA AMOR are back with their STREGHERIE: music, spells, ancient beliefs and mysterious tales from folk tradition
- And to round things off, everyone round the fireside! We’ll move indoors to the warmth for a buffet-style aperitif, a nice glass of wine and a few more stories to tell
