"Search your attics and drawers for your grandparents’ love letters, letters written whilst emigrating, notebooks from the trenches, an elderly ancestor’s diary; send us the personal pages you have written throughout your life, autobiographical accounts of past events, and even your private diaries from your youth: we will collect this material in a public repository and make it available to future generations.”
This is the appeal that the Archive has been making since 1984 to anyone in possession of unpublished writings who wishes to have them preserved in Italy’s most famous and special archive. Selection for the final of the Pieve Prize is entrusted to a Reading Committee which works tirelessly throughout the year to present the shortlist of finalists to the jury
The 42nd edition of the Pieve Saverio Tutino Prize will take place on 17, 18, 19 and 20 September in Pieve Santo Stefano
For four days, Pieve Santo Stefano will be filled with stories, encounters, words and voices from different places and experiences. We will be here to welcome them, listen to them and try to bring them to life. Naturally, we hope to meet you in person, at least for one day. But if you are unable to be in Pieve, we will guide you step by step – before, during and after the Prize – telling you what is happening and sharing the stories that will unfold over these days
