La Via del Sole

In mid-July each year, the romantic event returns to the top of the “Ruga” in San Martino, Anghiari, where people gather to await the sunrise, which, right on time at around 6.00 am, splits in two the main road linking one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages with Sansepolcro.
 
This event, which offers a truly thrilling experience, is much loved by locals and the many tourists who spend their summer holidays in the Tuscan Valtiberina in July: the sunrise is awaited whilst enjoying the accompanying music.
