Dive into the history and legend, walking through woods and pastures to admire the majestic stones that came from the sea, guardians of the remains of the ambitious project of the City of the Sun.
The area is crossed by numerous paths that converge on the Sasso si Simone, connecting the reserve to the Tuscan, Marche and Romagna territories. On the Tuscan side, starting from the Rifugio di casa del Re, it is possible to follow the main paths that cross the Reserve belonging to the CAI routes. Some of them are easy to walk, while others are suitable for more experienced hikers. On the way it is possible to visit small villages, admire suggestive views up to even the top of the Sasso di Simone.
