Let's Tame the T-Rex

Taming the T-Rex | Communication Workshop
 
A series of 7 sessions + 2 dedicated to the broad field of Communication, presented by the CYBORG Association after a long hiatus. A platform for experiential workshops, meetings, workshops and interactive mini-conferences where a variety of techniques from diverse disciplines will be at your disposal; each session will explore different themes. Relationships, thoughts, emotions, motivations, wellbeing, theatre, audiovisuals, AI, new and old languages and… whatever you suggest!?
The event will begin in May and run until October 2026, featuring a rotation of counsellors, actors, directors, psychologists, writers, and more. No particular physical abilities or prior experience are required to take part; just a desire to get to know and recognise yourself, and a willingness to put yourself out there and engage with others.
 
Session 1: Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May, from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm – At the headquarters of the Cyborg Association (Via Nova, 36 – Anghiari)

• “Who’s Afraid of the T-REX?” led by Luisella Chiribini
• An experiential workshop to get to know and recognise ourselves in a non-judgemental environment, characterised by listening and sharing
• We begin with FEAR itself: evolutionary concepts, physiological responses, how do we recognise it?, what is its function? We will give voice to it through a series of practical activities drawn from various disciplines, including strategies and tools to confront and manage it, whilst also exploring its powerful creative element

 
2nd Session: Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May, from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm – Via della Chiesa, Tavernelle

• “Energy of Well-being” led by Master Hal Yamanouchi
• Engaging in dialogue and play with the body, the inner child and the Higher Self
• A programme encompassing theatre techniques, Chi-Kong, Dance, Yoga, Regenerative Movement (Noguchi, Trager), Bioenergetics (Reich, Lowen), Gestalt Therapy (Empty Chair), Affirmation Therapy, Power Animal, Transactional Analysis (Berne), vocal expansion (Oikawa, Aoki) etc. To deepen our listening to the body, enter the flow of spontaneous energy, enrich our expressive abilities, share a state of empathy, and activate that same passion of performers in our own lives, in which we are nothing other than actors, dancers and singers directed by our own inner guide

 
3rd Session: Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm

4th Session: Saturday 27 June, from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm

• ‘Artificial Intelligence’ in audiovisual media: a short lecture by Maestro Enzo Aronica
