Sowing at Maraville | Maraville, the Farm that Tells a Story
Saturday 9 May, 4.30 pm – Podere Maraville
An event for young and old alike: after an initial guided tour of the museum, we will work the land
Thanks to farmer Piero Poggini, a member of the plant species custodians of the Ente Terre Regionali Toscane, which preserves the seeds of typical products from Anghiari’s history that would otherwise be lost, we will be able to sow two of these crops in particular. Mr Poggini will also teach us the ‘old-fashioned’ sowing technique, from the days when there wasn’t much machinery but plenty of ‘elbow grease’
Together we will sow ‘Mais Quarantino’ and ‘Cecio Nano’
