Borgo Sport 2026 | Promoting sport

Sunday 20 September, from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm – Piazza Torre di Berta

On Sunday 20 September, Piazza Torre di Berta will be transformed into a huge open-air gym

Borgo Sport returns to Sansepolcro, an event dedicated to local sports clubs and the promotion of sport as an opportunity for socialising, wellbeing and personal development

On Sunday 20 September, from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 15.00 to 19.00, the town centre will host the 2026 edition of the event, organised by Sansepolcro Town Council in collaboration with local sports organisations: Piazza Torre di Berta and Via Matteotti will serve as the stage for clubs and visitors

Eighteen associations will be present, invited to showcase and, above all, let people try out their sports. This is the format that has characterised Borgo Sport over the years: not merely an exhibition, but a day when children, young people, families and enthusiasts can explore the various activities, meet those who work in the sector on a daily basis and experience sport first-hand. In previous editions, the event had already involved numerous sports and local organisations, establishing itself as a true showcase for sport in Sansepolcro

A particularly rich heritage for a town which, in 2021, was awarded the title of European City of Sport and which can count on a network comprising clubs, associations, coaches, volunteers and athletes capable of engaging different generations

During the day, there will also be time set aside for a ceremony to honour and present awards – a long-standing feature of the event, as previous editions have shown – which this year will be hosted by Claudio Roselli. A new feature this year is the focus on music, with Lido Sax, Laura Poverini and Duilio Cagnoni providing entertainment throughout the day at various points during the event
