Aboca Museum

Aboca, an international leader specializing in the organic cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, has created the unique Aboca Museum in Sansepolcro (Arezzo). This institution was founded with the goal of preserving and passing on the history of the millennia-old relationship between humans and the plant world.
 
Housed within the elegant 17th-century Palazzo Bourbon del Monte, the evocative historical exhibition titled “Herbs and Health Through the Centuries” takes visitors on a journey into the past through faithful reconstructions of apothecary workshops and ancient pharmacies. The rooms house a valuable collection of historical sources, including rare books on pharmaceutical botany preserved in the Bibliotheca Antiqua, precious herbariums, antique mortars, ceramics, and historic glassware, all of which frame an enchanting and unique exhibition space in the heart of the Valtiberina. Alongside its historical offerings, the cultural center now also features the innovative, multimedia “Aboca Experience,” focused on sustainability, biodiversity, and modern scientific research.
 
The exhibits are fully accessible and open to four-legged friends as well.
